My first art show opens tomorrow, August 1st. I’m feeling more at ease now that all the art is hanging in the gallery and it looks great! I was nervous about it but my motto has always been to not be stymied by my anxiety or fear, (except I have to admit that my fear of heights has stopped me from rock climbing but I did make myself hike and scramble in places that were beyond my comfort level!)
Heres a little sneak peek at how it all looks. I’m sharing this show with wonderful artist friend Miriam Myers. We both have more than 20 paintings each.
I felt pretty proud of myself and even a bit verklempt seeing it all on the walls. Its one of those things that I always wondered if I could do it but shoved my anxiety out of the way and worked hard all this year to make it happen.
Tomorrow the show opens. Tuesday August 1 to the 26th. The gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday from noon to 4 pm. Our reception is on Saturday, August 5th from 1-3 pm and everyone is welcome! We will have some refreshments, goodies and a bunch of art to view. Hope to see you there!
