Free arty give-away and other arty news

Giveaway! At the end of October I will randomly pick one of my new or existing subscribers and they will win a bundle of my art cards (pic at right is just a sample of what I have). I’ll send them to the winner with free shipping.
I’m testing out a new pop-up subscriber form, you might have noticed it on my home page. Feedback is always welcome!

I’m going to be transitioning from my Squarespace website to just using this one. I trialed the other for a while but I’m finding this wordpress site is more flexible. And I’m trying to simplify my artist life!

If you know someone who might want to receive my newsletter please send them my way.

October 3rd! My god, where did September go?! It’s alarming how fast time flies by, especially as I get older. Remember when you were young you couldn’t wait for some time in the future (like summer holidays, getting your licence, etc)? Now, I just hope for time enough to enjoy sunny mornings, another cup of tea, more beautiful hikes and bike rides with Ian (my sweet partner) and enough time to use all my art paints, canvases, collage bits and mixed media.

Whats happening? Well, its seems to be a busy time for art shows this Fall. I just had 4 art pieces in the Nanaimo Fine Art show at their convention centre https://www.nanaimofca.com/ There were some really fine artists in that show and I felt honoured to be included.

***And did I tell you that one of my art pieces was selected to be in the Wales Contemproray International exhibition? It was the first time I've shipped art to Europe but it went smoothly via Canada Post. It'll be in the show from October 21st to December 20th.

Shipyard #2, will be showing at The Waterfront Gallery, Milford Haven, Wales.

Here’s a quote from the gallery website: “Creators of the high profile art competition ‘Wales Contemporary’, this open international competition features all aspects of 2D and 3D art inspired by Wales. With an exhibition held at the Waterfront Gallery each year, then touring on to esteemed locations such as The Senedd and Pierhead Building in Cardiff and the Mall Galleries in London.”

I’ve recently signed up for 2 new classes, relatively inexpensive and I own them for my lifetime. Thats good because I’m pretty slow at getting to them at times. I’m participating in the Gel printers Summit which will be super fun. Check it out here: https://www.subscribepage.com/gelprinterssummit

I just subscribed to a sweet little self paced course called Painting With Threads which appeals to the sewer in me. Jeanne-Marie Webb does some pretty creative and quirky stuff. I like her teabag portraits. Here’s her website: https://www.jeannemarieart.com/

Thanks for checking in! Leave me a comment or message me.
