I’m an artist, not a techy!

Last week I decided to try some new features on my website. Suddenly my whole website changed and none of my content was on it! In panic mode and after many hours of plugging away I was able to use the new template to change the look of the pages and get back on line! I am sometimes like ‘a dog with a bone’ so to speak (and Ian can attest to this); I keep hammering away at something until I fix it. It’s not perfect but it’s up and running. I also am grateful to my brother who patiently answers my questions and to Atef of Atef Designs who was super helpful. Feel free to contact me if you have any feedback or notice any typos!

Latest tidbits on art exhibits

Shipyard #2 of the series has arrived home from Milford Haven in Wales. It was one of the 140 pieces chosen for the International Wales Contemporary Art Show. Its now available but not in my store yet. Its a 20′ x 20″ painting. I will be showing it at Artful, The Gallery in June this year for a show called, Salon de Refuses.

My large abstract, Playing Kick The Can On 21st, is still at Comox Valley Airport as part of their art collection. It’ll be coming down mid-April and then Artwrx Studio Gallery will be hanging a show there for the next 6 months. I’m thrilled to also be a part of that.

If you live in the Comox Valley you may have already been to Tin Town Cafe for their yummy coffee and food. I have a little mini show happening there and recently sold a small abstract, Waning Storm  I hope you will check it out.

I’ve also been accepted into the next Pearl Ellis Gallery juried show in Comox called Identity and Expression. I’m working madly to finish the tryptich I started for that show and that show starts April 2nd.

I have some new art I’ve completed and will be posting those in my shop soon. My more recent art has lots of collage, a new colour palette and a variety of large and smalls.

Here’s a sneak peek of 2 of my latest, mostly collage pieces:

I’m sharing a photo I had recently taken at CV Arts Digital Hub. They offer services including a sound studio and photography.
